From Nam to Sweden to Memphis
Mood:  vegas lucky
My cousin Dennis Hall passed this year at the age of 91. While at the funeral I met another cousin of mine whose name I can't remember at this time. Anyway, she had heard about me from other relatives that had found my web site, so she wanted to talk to me.

She told me something about my uncle Joe Cooper that I didn't know. She told me that he had a son. Even more surprising was what she had to say about him.

She told me that Uncle Joe's son had been drafted into the army and was sent to Vietnam. Things were so bad there that he went AWOL. He fled to Sweden. There he met and married a Swedish girl. Then he wrote a book about his experience.

I can't remember exactly what the name of the book was, but it was something close to "From Vietnam to Sweden to Memphis." I can't remember the name of the author just now, but when I do I will post it here.
